Why Should I Clean My Carpet?
What Is The Difference Between DRY CLEANING And STEAM CLEANING?
STEAM CLEANING, which the world’s leading carpet manufacturer Shaw Industries recommends, uses a process where cleaning agent is applied to the carpets with a sprayer and then extracted with a hot water rinse into a holding tank. This method of cleaning removes all residues and gets deep down into fibres. Dry cleaning uses a rotary machine where a pad is applied to the bottom of. The carpet can be sprayed with solution or the pad can be soaked and squeezed slightly before putting the pad on the driving brush and buff the carpet. This pad absorbs limited dirt. Shaw Industries recommend in their maintenance brochure that this type of method NOT be used on carpets as it leaves soapy residue and may distort some types of fibres.

There are a lot of variables. Humidity, density of carpets, cold or hot days, and air flow all have effects on this. As a rough guide, you can expect your carpets to be dry in about 2hrs. However, they can be walked on virtually straight away as long as you have clean soles.

Our Policy with Furniture is as Follows
We clean around main items of furniture eg: beds tv cabinet lounge anything that doesn’t move
We don’t clean beside these items then move it onto the WET carpet we have just cleaned
For occupational health and safety reasons,
our technician will not move large TV cabinets, china cabinets and heavy items.
If this is an issue please organise before booking to have all furniture moved off carpet
We will help you move light furniture. We advise that you move any breakables and knickknacks, which may be lying around. In addition, that we recommend that no furniture be placed, back onto carpet, that is not 100% Dry.
We do Place Protective carpet Squares under the feet of some items.
